Having a smooth application process is important to us! We are upfront with all costs and provide a comprehensive screening phone call ensuring you know how the program works. We try and answer all your questions and then provide you with our expert travel materials that will prepare you for your next step. Our entire application process is outlined below for you to review.

Be aware that there are some dodgy companies out there that will try and pressure you into applying. Always read the T&C’s and beware of all the costs. If the costs aren’t listed on the company’s website – we recommend walking away.

At IEP, we pride ourselves in offering the best customer service on the market – if you aren’t happy after the initial phone call we will refund you in full.

Step 1

Apply online:
Applications for Work Canada Returner are now closed as we have sold through the limited allocation for 2019. If you are interested in 2020,
register your interest in the program and we will add you to a wait list. The wait list will be contacted when we have been issued our allocation for 2020 and it will be first come first served.

Alternatively you can pay a deposit of $295 to hold a spot in the 2020 allocation – pay your deposit here.

Step 2

Welcome Phone Call:

After payment is made, we will give you a call within 2 working days to welcome you to the program and answer any questions you may have. Then we can move on to the next step of the application.

Step 3

SWAP Profile Form:

After your welcome call we will provide you with the SWAP Profile Form which you are required to fill out with information regarding the employer, the job offer, the NOC code information and your relevant experience.

From there we will send that form to SWAP, our Canadian partner, who will review the job offer to ensure it meets the requirements of the program.

Step 4

Employer Submits Job Offer into IEC Employer Portal:

Provided SWAP can confirm your eligibility for the program (dependent on your SWAP Profile Form) Your future employer will submit an offer of employment through the IEC Employer Portal for you to accept and then provide you with a contract. At this time, the employer will pay the employer compliance fee of $230CAD.

Step 5

Submit IEC Profile to Young Professional Pool:

We will help you create an IEC Profile to submit to the IEC Young Professional Pool.

Step 6

Receive Invitation to Apply:

Once you receive your Invitation to Apply you will use our comprehensive visa application guidelines to submit your Young Professionals application. At this stage you will pay the $150CAD fee to submit your application. It can take up to 8 weeks from date of submitting your application before processing is completed. Once it is approved you will receive a letter of introduction which approves you for a permit. The letter is valid for 12 months.

Step 7

Biometrics:

Attend a Biometrics processing appointment to have your finger prints, eye scans and a digital photo taken for customs security purposes.

Step 8

Flights & Insurance:

Now that your visa has been approved you can begin to make travel arrangements.

Travel Insurance is compulsory for the duration of your stay in Canada to obtain your Canadian Young Professionals work permit and you must purchase this through IEP New Zealand.
