Girl Scouts River Valleys

Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys serves girls in southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin and they represent 4 camps; Camp Lakamaga, Elk River, Northwoods and Singing Hills. They are one of 112 Girl Scout councils that make up the national Girl Scout Movement, sharing the mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. River Valleys provides an inclusive environment where girls develop the skills they need to become our future leaders. Through specialized programs and events, they provide a safe place for girls to grow and share new experiences, develop core values and contribute to society. All staff members must be aged 18+ by the start of the camp season. Counselors must have the ability to learn new skills and have a passion to work directly with girls. While staff have a base camp where they spend most of their time, staff may also be given the opportunity to work at another camp for a week or two.

Camp Kohut

Surrounded by spectacular Lake Thompson, Kohut’s 100 acres of lush woods and fields offer a great setting for camp. They are genuinely focused and passionate about creating a close camp community based on values of respect, kindness, self-improvement, teamwork and tolerance in an atmosphere of warmth and fun. They have an excellent program that combines structure with choice and campers have the opportunity to choose from over 50 different on-camp activities. Off-camp trips to parts of beautiful Maine and fun all-camp Special Events complement their regular schedule.

Kohut hires staff to provide character and skill development though high quality activity instruction, a kind and comfortable bunk environment, and a safe and wholesome setting for children. Counselors must be aged 18+. Kohut is looking to hire dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and compassionate staff.

Camp Pinecliffe

Located in Beautiful Harrison, Maine Camp Pinecliffe offers a traditional and spectacular summer adventure. They are focused on the individual camper, encouraging each girl to become the best that she can be, while living happily and successfully with others. Pinecliffe allows for campers and counselors alike to explore their interests and offers a safe environment to grow and learn. Their motto “Do the Thing That Counts and Then Don’t Count It” reflects the eagerness of camp and it’s campers to try new activities, create new memories, and discover more and more each summer. Camp is looking for bright, talented, energetic, creative and child-centered individuals as camp counselors and activity leaders. They seek counselors that will help campers focus on specialty skill-building, responsibility, and teamwork. Counselors are expected to help maintain a culture of community, friendship and excellence.

Camp Takajo

Located in rugged natural beauty of Naples, Maine, Camp Takajo’s mission is to help boys grow into young men of strong moral character. This is emphasized through sports, activities and a wide range of specialty events. They believe that boys need structure. Their programs are designed to be developmentally age appropriate. As boys get older, their program allows them increased choices so they can pursue their maturing interests and specialize in specific areas.

Potential camp counselors are solicited based on character, stability, and interest in working with kids, warmth, personality, and ability in a specialty.

YMCA Camp of Maine

Founded in 1915 YMCA Camp of Maine was founded on Christian principles that confirm the importance of each individual. Using the Core Values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility), the camp experience of growing, learning and helping others provides memories that last a lifetime. YMCA of Maine is seeking counselors who will help campers with social growth, awareness, and experiences as well as help campers assume leadership roles and develop skills that transfer to school and community groups.
