Outbound Program Assistant


IEP wants you! We are looking for a past participant to join our team as the IEP Outbound Program Assistant. You will be assisting Kiwis and Aussies in securing working holidays around the world.


We aren’t searching for someone with lots of related work experience for this role (always helpful, but not required). We want someone who has done one of our Canadian programs and knows and loves Canada.

The Outbound Program Assistant is responsible for the delivery of customer support and service, in accordance with the passion and enthusiasm established by IEP.  This position is responsible for handling enquiries by customers, telephone, email, database and all other program administration as directed by the Outbound Program Manager.




The Outbound Program Assistant has the following responsibilities:


Customer Service


  • Oversee the handling of telephone, e-mail and walk-in enquiries of all program participants, from the application stage until their departures from NZ and Australia.
  • Conduct Welcome Calls and Interviews for US, Canada and UK program participants.
  • Provide consistent and accurate advice, support and assistance to participants in a friendly and professional manner, in accordance with IEP customer service standards.


Application Processing


  • Record and enter data for applications for all outbound programs.
  • Initial processing of all applications that the New Zealand & Australia offices receive.
  • Book and carry out interviews within one week of application receipt.
  • Assist program coordinators to ensure that all applications and visas are dealt with quickly, efficiently and thoroughly in accordance with the program rules and IEP policies.
  • Co-ordinate the issue and renewal of program insurance policies in accordance with program and insurer rules.




  • Co-ordinate the issue and renewal of program insurance policies in accordance with program and insurer rules.


 General Office


  • Maintain the IEP participant database by accurately entering participant information.
  • Run errands.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Outbound Program Manager.


Other responsibilities


  • Assist the marketing team as required during peak periods.
  • Other duties as directed by the General Manager
